I woke to the sound of the sea lapping against the shore this morning – John was still asleep when I opened my eyes and I just lay there with a huge grin on my face. Six weeks we've been away now and I love travelling even more now than ever before – despite the fact that we are moving on all the time from place to place, I have never felt more settled in my life. I've never felt such a sense of purpose, knowing that I am doing the right thing and doing what I should have done years ago, I wake up every morning with an energy I haven't known in years.

Boats in Rayong
After a late start we got on the motorway in the direction of Lop Buri or Saraburi. We decided that we'd make our mind up on the way as to where we'd stay over as they were fairly close together and in the same direction.
It was early evening by the time we arrived in Lop Buri and we decided to check into somewhere for just one night – and that we did. We found somewhere to eat and discussed our options for tomorrow. I took a look at the map and thought we could get down past Bangkok and reach the coast easily in one day, so that was our new plan.
