1.  BEHIND THE SCENES AT THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL ARCHIVE

2.  CAROLE NASH CLASSIC MOTORCYCLE MECHANICS SHOW

3.  WARWICK WORDS FESTIVAL OF LITERATURE AND SPOKEN WORD

4.  WILD PLANET EXHIBITION

'Wild Planet' is a photographic exhibition showcasing stunning images from the natural world that highlight the dazzling beauty and diversity of our planet.

The exhibition will feature 80 images chosen by BBC personality and zoologist Chris Packham from previous years of 'Wildlife Photographer of the Year'

5.  GREAT MALVERN CARAVAN SHOW

6.  BRAM STOKER INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

‘The Bram Stoker International Film Festival celebrates the life of Bram Stoker through four days and nights of gothic decadence cumulating with the highly anticipated and world famous Bram Stoker European Vampires Ball now in its third year.

Bram Stokers European Vampire's Ball is a night of dark romanticism and a gothic interpretation of beauty, inspired by Bram Stokers Dracula.’

7.  BRITISH NATIONAL PLOUGHING CHAMPIONSHIPS

‘The high point of the British competition ploughing season is the annual British National Ploughing Championships. These are organised by the Society of Ploughmen and are held at different venues each year and are regularly contested by around 250 local ploughing champions.

There are classes for conventional, reversible and horse-drawn ploughs, as well as expanding classes for vintage tractors and ploughs which attracts 60 area champions each year; and also vintage horticultural machinery.’

8.  BRISTOL-CON, SCIENCE FICTION & FANTASY CONVENTION

‘Guests this year include writers John Meaney and Gareth L. Powell, and artist Anne Sudworth. We have also named a Ghost of Honour: our dear friend Colin Harvey who passed away much too young in 2011. Many of our regular guests will also be back for more, so we must be doing something right.

Books, comics and merchandise will be available in the dealers’ room and authors will be available for book signings. There will also be a pub quiz and live music in the evening.’

9.  FLAME & THUNDER

‘Flame & Thunder is an action packed day for all the family featuring motorsport stunts and Drag Racing. Witness a huge gathering of jet vehicles including a Jet Dragster, Jet Funny Car, Jet Truck and Jet Beetle. Experience 300mph Nitro guzzling Top Fuel machines along with cars and bikes from all classes of Drag Racing. Watch stunt displays including Monster Trucks, Freestyle Motocross, Drifting and Stunt Riders. The climax of the day will be a huge firework display with massive bonfire.’

10.  WORLD CONKER CHAMPIONSHIPS 2012

‘A picturesque corner of Northamptonshire hosts the World Conker Championships on the second Sunday in October every year. Thousands flock to the venue near the ancient market town of Oundle to watch this great spectacle as modern day gladiators fight for glory armed only with a nut and 12" of string.’

I've been meaning to take Adam to Santa Pod for about the past five years but not got round to it.Their best days , like the one above are usually in half terms and we are usually away!

Yeah, I am thinking of getting myself to London to go to the archaeological archive. Probably be lots of interesting stuff to see.

Probably but not what I planned.Probably go visiting or yha or caravanning. Events have conspired aginst me and I am skint! Thinking of having a shufti at the archeological archives.
